Hallyu Actress Drama Ratings Drop To The 0% Ahead Of Its Finale, Why?
Despite changing its air date, the TV Chosun drama “Confidence Queen” has failed to maintain its ratings!
Previously, September 15, TV Chosun announced, “Confidence Queen will move from its original Saturday–Sunday 9:10 PM slot to 10:30 PM.”
Originally, “Confidence Queen” was competing against what became a massive hit, “Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.” The time slot change was reportedly pushed forward to avoid competing in the same time slot. The decision was made after the drama hit 0.9% in ratings.
For a period after the drama changed air date, the ratings went up. Its 8th episode recorded 1.77% in ratings becoming its highest rated episode to date. However, its 10th and most recent episode saw its worst performance yet.
On October 5, the 10th episode recorded 0.7%, its lowest rating so far. Because it changed its air date, “Confidence Queen” is now competing in the same time slot as “A Hundred Memories” which has been doing well and rose to 5.8% with its latest episode.
The ratings shocked fans considering how hallyu actress Park Min Young dramas usually perform well.
“Confidence Queen” tells the story of swindlers Yoon I Rang (Park Min Young), James (Park Hee Soon), and Myung Gu Ho (Joo Jong Hyuk) as they strip the wealth from villains across different fields.
Why do you think it happened?
