Disney+ has announced that the release of “Knock-Off,” Kim Soo Hyun’s upcoming drama has been postponed indefinitely.

On the 21st of March, Disney+ stated to Edaily, “After careful review, we have decided to put the release of ‘Knock-Off’ on hold.”

Originally planned for release in the first half of this year, Season 1 of “Knock-Off” had already completed filming and was expected to premiere as early as April. However, with the ongoing controversy surrounding lead actor Kim Soo Hyun, the show’s release schedule has become uncertain.

Previously, Disney+ had stated that “Season 2 filming is proceeding as planned,” but they have now opted for a postponement. Industry insiders speculate that the delay may be indefinite.

“Knock-Off” tells the story of a man whose life is upended by the IMF crisis, transforming him from an ordinary office worker into the king of the global counterfeit market. The drama is directed by Park Hyun Seok, known for “Uncontrollably Fond,” “Dance Sports Girls,” “Stranger 2,” and “Song of the Bandits.” Kim Soo Hyun and Jo Bo Ah star in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, tensions continue between the late Kim Sae Ron’s family and Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist. The family claims that Kim Soo Hyun was in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was 15, that the agency mishandled the aftermath of her drunk driving incident, and that a manager at the agency had ties to YouTuber Lee Jin Ho.

In response, Gold Medalist’s legal representatives, L.K.B & Partners, have filed a complaint against Kim Sae Eui, the operator of YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute, as well as an unnamed individual who allegedly provided Kim Sae Eui with photos of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron. The charges include violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (distribution of images taken using cameras, etc.).

They also stated that they would pursue legal action against Kim Soo Hyun’s side.
