Famous Actress Breaks Silence On School Bullying Rumors For The 1st Time Since They Spread, Reiterates Her Innocence
Actress Go Min Si has once again strongly denied allegations of school violence (school bullying), roughly three months after the controversy first arose.
On the morning of the 30th of August, Go Min Si posted a lengthy statement on her social media account, addressing the months-long controversy and the ongoing investigation. She stated, “For months, I have waited for the investigation results, repeatedly gathering my composure dozens of times a day. I felt it was my duty to speak out for those who have been waiting.”
She continued, “I know best that I was a student who occasionally acted out and spent my school days immaturely. I have regretted my shortcomings and have worked to live a better life. However, just because my past was imperfect does not mean I should carry false accusations,” emphasizing her stance.
This follows allegations raised in May on online communities regarding school bullying. At that time, Go Min Si’s side denied the claims entirely, labeling them as “groundless.” Meanwhile, those claiming to be victims presented specific examples, including physical violence toward multiple peers, extortion, ridicule, and threats during middle school, urging her to make a statement.
In her latest post, Go Min Si drew a clear line, saying, “I categorically did not commit school violence. Aside from posts from anonymous users claiming to be victims, there is no concrete evidence confirming school violence. I have submitted all materials proving I am not the perpetrator, and the investigation is ongoing. I will not stop until the truth about the false allegations is revealed.”
She further stated, “School violence is a serious social issue and should be strictly punished. However, maliciously using it to distort the truth hinders genuine problem-solving. I want everyone to recognize the cruelty of an online society that treats lies as facts. The truth will inevitably come to light.”
Meanwhile, Go Min Si’s recent drama “Your Taste” entered the Netflix TOP10 in 53 countries, but due to the bullying controversy, her end-of-series interviews were not arranged, and she withdrew from a planned upcoming drama. The thorough investigation has reportedly been ongoing for about three months.
