Han So Hee’s Mother Receives A Suspended Sentence For Illegally Running Gambling Establishments
Han So Hee’s Mother has been sentenced for her crimes!
According to the legal community on the 25th of December, The Judge sentenced Ms. Shin (55), who was indicted on charges of opening a gambling establishment, to one year in prison suspended to two years of probation. The Judge also ordered 120 hours of community service. Ms. Shin is accused of opening seven gambling establishments for profit from the end of January 2022 to the end of August this year.
Ms. Shin reportedly operated a total of seven illegal gambling rooms. The court pointed out, “Although it is not clearly stated in the records, considering the game room business structure and profit distribution ratio, the profits the defendant obtained as a result are likely to be significant.” However, considering the fact that she had no previous convictions other than one fine and had been detained for a certain period of time, the suspended sentence was handed down.

Ms. Shin, who had been in custody, was released immediately after receiving the suspended sentence. The prosecution, which had demanded a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison for Shin in the first trial, appealed, saying, “The sentence is too light and unfair.”

Meanwhile, Han So Hee drew the line at the news of her mother’s arrest in September, saying that it had nothing to do with her and she only learned about it from articles.
