The Actor Set To Replace Yoon Ji On In Upcoming Drama After His Drunk Driving Controversy
Actor Hong Jong Hyun will be replacing Yoon Ji On.
On the 22nd of September, his agency Secret ENT announced that Hong Jong Hyun will take on the role of “Lee Min Wook” in Channel A’s “I Got a Baby.”
Originally, Yoon Ji On had been cast as Min Wook, but after being caught drunk driving and stealing a motorcycle on the 16th of September, he stepped down. Despite having been done with more half of the drama’s filming, the scenes will be have to be re-shot with Hong Jong Hyun.
The actor has since issued an apology and admitted to the facts. He also announced he’s stepping down from his upcoming drama. A source from the drama also confirmed this and stated all of his scene will be scrapped.
The drama tells the story of chaebol heir “Kang Doo Joon” (Choi Jin Hyuk) and employee “Jang Hee Won” (Jang Hee Won), whose one-night mistake leads to an unexpected pregnancy. It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name. Min Wook is Hee Won’s childhood friend. Filming began in July, and the drama is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.
