JK Kim Dong Wook, a singer known as a Korean-Canadian, is causing a stir after directly calling out actor Lee Dong Wook by name.
JK Kim Dong Wook, who holds Canadian citizenship, was born in Korea and spent his childhood in Seoul before immigrating to Canada during high school, where he later obtained citizenship.

He publicly expressed support for former President Yoon Suk Yeol and has been outspoken in his opposition to the impeachment. While it’s uncommon for celebrities to reveal their political views, JK Kim Dong Wook has actively attended rallies against the impeachment and frequently voiced strong opinions on social media in support of Yoon.
Most recently, JK Kim Dong Wook showed anger over the news of former President Yoon’s removal from office. This time, the controversy escalated when he directly called out fellow celebrity Lee Dong Wook by name. The actor had posted on his official fan communication platform after Yoon’s removal, saying, “Ah, it finally feels like spring. The winter was too long. It feels like spring is one step closer,” and added the song “Into the New World” by Girls’ Generation.
In response, JK Kim Dong Wook expressed his displeasure, saying, “Hyung, what are we going to do now? What now, Dong Wook? What do you mean ‘what’? We keep fighting until things change. Me? F***, as a musician, you gotta face some oppression, get blacklisted or something for real authenticity to come out in music, right?”
