Kim Soo Hyun Reportedly Cleared Of Child Welfare Law Violation Allegations Involving Kim Sae Ron

Actor Kim Soo Hyun has reportedly been cleared of allegations that he violated child welfare law.

According to Dispatch on July 29, Seoul’s Seongdong Police Station recently decided not to refer Kim Soo Hyun’s case to prosecutors over allegations of a child welfare law violation and false accusation.

Earlier, the family of the late Kim Sae Ron had filed a complaint against Kim Soo Hyun, alleging that the actress had been in a romantic relationship with him while she was still a minor.

At the time, the family presented an audio recording of the late actress as evidence during a press conference. The recording reportedly included the line, “We started dating in middle school and broke up after I went to college.”

Kim Soo Hyun, however, countered that the audio file had been fabricated using AI technology. He also maintained that the relationship between the two only began after both were adults, and filed defamation charges against the family members who raised the allegations, as well as a YouTube channel involved in spreading them.
