Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Addresses Sulli’s Family’s Demands For Clarifications Regarding Her Scenes In “Real”
Actor Kim Soo Hyun has refuted allegations levied against him by the late Sulli’s family. The family requested clarifications regarding her sex scene in “Real”!
On April 2, the law firm LKB & Partners, which represents Kim Soo Hyun, issued an official statement to address various new developments and new allegations against Kim Soo Hyun.
Amid these claims, Kim Soo Hyun’s side addressed allegations that he forced the late Sulli into filming a bed scene in the movie “Real.”
On March 28, Sulli’s family released a statement raising concerns about:
▲ The fact that the bed scene between Sulli and Kim Soo Hyun was not originally detailed in the script of “Real”
▲ The claim that although a body double was present on set, Sulli was persuaded to film the bed and nude scenes herself
▲ The suspicion that while the production team claimed the body double was unavailable due to illness on the filming day, she was actually present at the scene.
Regarding this, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, issued an official statement on April 2, clarifying, “The late Sulli was fully aware of the bed scene in advance and participated in filming with prior knowledge.”
Addressing the claim that the scene was forcibly filmed despite the presence of a body double, the agency explained, “There was a ‘standing actor’ on set, who was not a stunt double performing the scene but was there only for blocking and camera adjustments during the preparation stage.”
To support their statement, the agency presented official statements from Kim Jung Ok, the assistant director of “Real,” and Lee Jun Hyun, the script supervisor, as evidence.
The agency further stated, “As confirmed by the key staff members of the production, the late Choi Jin Ri (Sulli’s real name) and her agency at the time were fully aware of her role as Song Yoo Hwa.”
They also denied Sulli’s brother’s accusations that they called his mother to try and silence him. They said:
“Lastly, we have never contacted the late Choi Jinri’s mother. We do not even have her contact information. We understand that there may be curiosity regarding statements made at the funeral. However, bringing up an incident from over six years ago now, and presenting unverifiable claims as firsthand experiences on social media, is difficult to accept.
We ask that baseless speculation be stopped, as it deeply hurts those who dedicated their passion and efforts to Real. Additionally, misinformation regarding Kim Soo Hyun’s current situation is spreading recklessly. We sincerely ask for restraint in making further speculative statements.“
