The Last Instagram Post Of Actor Jung Eun Woo Gains Attention Following His Tragic Sudden Passing
Actor Jung Eun Woo (real name Jung Dong Jin) has suddenly passed away at the age of 40, drawing attention to the cause of his death.
According to Star News on the 11th of February, Jung Eun Woo died that morning.
The exact cause of death has not been disclosed, but speculation has followed after it was confirmed that Jung Eun Woo posted a new update on Instagram just one day before his passing.
In particular, Jung Eun Woo uploaded photos of Chinese-language star Leslie Cheung and British artist Amy Winehouse taken during their lifetimes, along with his own profile photo. Leslie Cheung died in 2003 at the age of 47 after jumping from a hotel in Hong Kong, while Amy Winehouse passed away suddenly in 2011 at the age of 27, both known for their tragic stories.
Along with this, Jung Eun Woo added the message, “Missing, envious, regretful..” and the phrase “PIR.BG.”
Tragically, the profile photo left in Jung Eun Woo’s final post came to be used as his memorial portrait.
Jung Eun Woo graduated from Dongguk University’s Department of Theater and Film and debuted in the entertainment industry in 2006 through the KBS youth drama “Round Three.” He later gained recognition after taking on a leading role in the SBS drama “Bride of the Sun” (2011).
In particular, Jung Eun Woo appeared consecutively in SBS dramas “Five Fingers,” “A Well Raised Daughter,” and “Stranger,” receiving recognition for his acting by winning the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards (2012) and the Special Acting Award in the One-Act/Special Drama category at the SBS Drama Awards (2013).
He also appeared in the SBS daily drama “The Return of Hwang Geum Bok” (2015) and played the role of Wang Yi Ryuk in the KBS2 weekend drama “My Only One.” His final appearance was in the film “Memory: Manipulated Murder” (2021), which became his final work.
The funeral altar has been set up in Special Room No. 2 at the New Korea Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will take place at 12 PM on the 13th, and the burial site is Byeokje Seunghwa Center.
