Lee Kwang Soo Denies Rumors Of Discord With Kim Jong Kook After Skipping His Wedding, Clarifies Why He Couldn’t Attend

Actor Lee Kwang Soo’s agency has released a statement to explain why he was unable to attend singer Kim Jong Kook’s wedding.

On the 11^th of September, Kim Jong Kook revealed the guest list for his wedding through his YouTube channel. The list has since gone viral among netizens who debated who was invited and who wasn’t. This led to many speculations and rumors.

The wedding was a small-scale ceremony with around 100 attendees. Guests included fellow SBS “Running Man” members Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Ji Suk Jin, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan, as well as close friends Cha Tae Hyun, Jang Hyuk, and Hong Kyung Min.

Other attendees included Seo Jang Hoon, Joo Woo Jae, Kang Hoon, and Jonathan. However, Lee Kwang Soo’s absence stood out, as he had long shared close ties with Kim Jong Kook through “Running Man.” This led to netizens speculating that there was discord between Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook which the agency has since denied.

On the 16^th of September, a representative from Lee Kwang Soo’s agency, King Kong by Starship, told News1, “Lee Kwang Soo was unable to attend Kim Jong Kook’s wedding because he was handling promotional schedules in Vietnam for the film ‘Love Barista.’”

Although invited, Lee Kwang Soo could not attend because of promotional activities for “Love Barista,” which is set to premiere in Vietnam this October.

Meanwhile, the wedding, held on September 5, was hosted by Yoo Jae Suk, while the congratulatory song was performed by Kim Jong Kook himself, who sang his hit song “Lovable.”
