Lee Yi Kyung’s Side Insists The Accuser Is Lying, Proceeds With Strict Legal Action, The Accuser Issues One Last Statement
The situation between Lee Yi Kyung and his accuser is heating!
On the 19th of November, Person A, Lee Yi Kyung’s accuser, posted a note writing “Hello. I wanted to say it for the last time. It is completely the last haha” through their personal account.
They added, “Hello everyone. Because of the post I uploaded, I sincerely apologize for causing confusion to everyone. Actually, because I was scared, I said that everything was a lie. Because I thought maybe I might get sued or have to pay money. Because I thought it might burden me and my family, I lied” was contained.
Then the writing “AI, if it is a celebrity, absolutely cannot make photos, and I have never used AI in that way. All the evidence I uploaded was real. But I do not want to make the story big again. Even if unrelated to this matter, if there are other victims, I am saying this because I am so worried their courage might be misunderstood as AI and they might be harmed” was added.
This is a follow-up to the allegations the same person made earlier. Person A wrote an exposé-type post saying they would reveal Lee Yi Kyung’s private life. Person A captured and released KakaoTalk conversations and DM conversations with a person saved as “Lee Kyung Actor-nim,” and claimed the person they had conversations with was actor Lee Yi Kyung.
After the post created a big wave and the agency side promised strong legal action, Person A, who had uploaded an apology statement, clarified their position saying “I did not receive money and I was not threatened,” but again changed their position saying “Thinking whether to upload the proof again… If it ends like this, it’s a bit… haha. Because it is not AI, I feel something unfair. Making a bad guy into a victim.”
On the same day Lee Yi Kyung’s side once again stated their position regarding the continuous private-life allegations.
Lee Yi Kyung’s agency said through an official statement, “We inform you in advance that we have proceeded with legal action against the writer of the posts about actor Lee Yi Kyung on charges of intimidation and defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.”
The agency said, “After recognizing the incident on the 3rd and promptly submitting the complaint, the complainant’s statement investigation has been completed, but we understand that it takes some time until the suspect’s identity is secured and the investigation agency completes the investigation and closes the case,” and explained, “We are checking the progress through legal representatives and cooperating as much as possible so that the results can come out quickly.”
They continued, “The damage to the actor and agency is severe due to the malicious actions of the writer and distributors,” and emphasized, “As we understand that such actions are punishable regardless of domestic or overseas location, our company will continue to respond strongly without leniency, even if it takes some time.”
They added, “All official report emails are being reviewed through the Sangyeong ENT account, so please continue to report malicious posts.”
Lee Yi Kyung suddenly stepped down from the MBC program “Hangout With Yoo,” where he had been a fixed cast member, and also stepped down from the MC position of the KBS 2TV program “The Return of Superman,” where he had been scheduled to join.
