The Immensely Talented Young Actor Cast As The Younger Version Of Song Joong Ki Gains Attention
Rising young actor Nam Da Reum has started the new year with a double celebration, winning the Drama Special Award at the 2024 KBS Drama Awards and confirming his casting in the much-anticipated JTBC drama “My Youth.”
According to his agency, BAA, on January 14, Nam Da Reum will join “My Youth,” a new drama written by Park Si Hyun and directed by Lee Sang Yeob. The series is a delicate romance centered around Seon Woo Hae (played by Song Joong Ki), a man embarking on an ordinary life later than most, and Seong Jae Yeon (played by Chun Woo Hee), a woman forced to disrupt the tranquility of her first love.
Nam Da Reum will portray the younger version of Seon Woo Hae, a former child actor turned novelist and florist, who leaves behind his fame to live a second life. With Nam Da Reum’s proven acting skills, audiences are eager to see how he brings depth to Seon Woo Hae’s youth.
Since his debut in “Boys Over Flowers” (2009), Nam Da Reum has built a remarkable acting career with standout roles in dramas such as “Pinocchio,” “Six Flying Dragons,” “The King in Love,” “Goblin,” “Hotel Del Luna,” “A Piece of Your Mind,” “Start-Up,” and Netflix’s “The Sound of Magic.”
Recently, Nam Da Reum was discharged from the military and returned to acting. This has heightened anticipation for his performance in “My Youth” alongside Song Joong Ki.
