Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s agency is under scrutiny regarding whether they will issue a response to the latest allegations from “Garosero Research Institute” involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
On the evening of the 11th of March, as promised, the YouTube channel “Garosero Research Institute” released text messages and photos reportedly provided by Kim Sae Ron’s family.
They released a never-seen-before photo showing Kim Soo Hyun giving a cheek kiss to Kim Sae Ron. According to the family, this photo was taken on the same day as another image Kim Sae Ron had uploaded and then deleted from social media last year. At the time of the cheek kiss, Kim Sae Ron was reportedly a third-year middle school student, just 15 years old, further intensifying the controversy.
The channel also revealed alleged text message she sent him. The revealed messages showed Kim Sae Ron pleading for help from Kim Soo Hyun regarding a 700 million won damages claim from their former agency, Gold Medalist. In particular, one message from Kim Sae Ron read, “Please save me,” adding to the public’s attention. The message is in response to a certification his agency sent to her regarding the compensation they helped her settle when she had her DUI. In the message, she pleads with him to give her time to pay the fees but states she cannot pay them now.
The message reads:
Oppa, this is Saeron. I just got a a certified letter saying I am being sued. You said you’d give me time so I’ve been diligently working on preparing for my comeback and planning to repay you back little by little from each project. Its not that I won’t pay, I simply cannot come up with 700 million won at once. Its not that I won’t, I just can’t. Do I really have to go to court? Please help me. I am begging you, just give me more time.”
Recently, “Garosero Research Institute” has been broadcasting critical coverage of Kim Soo Hyun, based on claims from Kim Sae Ron’s family. The channel alleges that Kim Soo Hyun had a six-year romantic relationship with Kim Sae Ron, starting when she was a minor, and was involved in the founding of Gold Medalist. They further claim that after Kim Sae Ron’s drunk driving incident, the agency cut ties with her and demanded a large compensation fee.
However, Gold Medalist has strongly denied these allegations, calling them “completely false” and stating that they are “considering the strongest possible legal action.” The agency also emphasized that they were deeply saddened by Kim Sae Ron’s passing and condemned “Garosero Research Institute” for spreading “unverified claims that mirror the very cyber-harassment Kim Sae Ron suffered during her lifetime.”
Gold Medalist had previously urged the public to refrain from spreading baseless rumors, but with the emergence of these new allegations—including the released text messages and photos—they have yet to issue an additional response.
