The shocking news came via a tweet by the admins of the site. On Twitter/X, they wrote, “We are sorry to announce that we will be closing all 5 websites: Asianc, Dramanice, Watchasia, Runasian, Asianwiki(.co). Due to the copyright, we cannot run the sites anymore. We apologize to every fan who always supported and loved DRAMACOOL. Thank you and Best Regards.“
Fans had been noticing some difficulties in accessing the website and as the issues persisted, a tweet came out to confirm the site is shutting down. Many Kdrama fans are sad to see the site shut down.
DRAMACOOL was an integral part in many Kdrama fans watching experiences, as the site has many kdramas that other legal streaming sites don’t have, this includes longer kdramas and older kdramas [2010 and older]
DRAMACOOL had an extensive library of many beloved Kdramas that will likely be difficult to find on the web now that its gone. Not only that, but the site also had subtitles for many beloved Korean variety shows with some episodes translations dating back to many many years in the past.
