Song Hye Kyo And Gong Yoo’s Upcoming $50 Million Drama Begins Filming
Noh Hee Kyung’s new drama, “Slowly, Intensely,” starring Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo, has officially begun filming.
According to a report from Star News on the 13th of January, filming for “Slowly, Intensely” kicked off on the 12th, marking the start of this highly anticipated project.
Set against the backdrop of the broadcasting industry in the 1960s and 1970s, the drama explores the lives of stars on stage and the people who work behind the scenes to create them. Initially known under the working title “Show Business,” it will now reach viewers as “Slowly, Intensely.”
This marks the latest work from writer Noh Hee Kyung, following the acclaimed “Our Blues” (2022). The drama is directed by Lee Yoon Jung, known for “Coffee Prince.” Notably, this is Song Hye Kyo’s third collaboration with Noh Hee Kyung, after “Worlds Within” (2008) and “That Winter, The Wind Blows” (2013).
“Slowly, Intensely” also marks the first time Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo will work together, generating significant buzz as audiences eagerly anticipate their on-screen chemistry.
Previously, Song Hye Kyo appeared on the YouTube channel Fairy Jae Hyung, debuting a short haircut. She revealed the change was for her upcoming role, explaining, “I cut my hair for my next project, which is Noh Hee Kyung’s work. It’s a period drama.”
Produced jointly by Studio Dragon and GTist, “Slowly, Intensely” was initially announced as a Netflix original series. However, Netflix clarified to Star News that no official confirmation has been made regarding the platform.
