One Of The Biggest Netflix Kdramas Of 2025 Reportedly Getting A 2nd And 3rd Season, Netflix Comments
“The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” is reportedly set to return with both Season 2 and Season 3.
According to Xports News on the 23rd of September, production for Seasons 2 and 3 of “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” has been confirmed, and preparations are now underway.
Later, a source from Netflix responded with, “Follow-up seasons are currently under review, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”
The Netflix original “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” follows the story of Baek Kang Hyuk (played by Ju Ji Hoon), a genius surgeon who once worked on battlefields and takes charge of reviving a dysfunctional trauma team. The series is based on a popular web novel of the same name written by ENT specialist Lee Nak Joon.
Season 1, which premiered this past January, achieved major success both domestically and internationally. It also swept awards: Ju Ji Hoon won Best Actor in TV at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, while at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, Choo Young Woo took the Rookie Award, Ju Ji Hoon won Best Actor, and the series itself won Best Drama, achieving a triple crown.
Previously, author Lee Nak Joon had hinted on YouTube that the story was written with Seasons 2 and 3 already in mind, raising anticipation for sequels.
Meanwhile, attention is now focused on whether the original cast—including Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, and Yoon Kyung Ho—will return for Seasons 2 and 3.
