Yoo Ah In Cleared From Sexual Assault Accusations By Police
Actor Yoo Ah In (38, real name Uhm Hong Sik), who was accused of sexual assault (quasi-rape), has been cleared of charges by the police.
According to police on the 19th of September, the Seoul Yongsan Police Station decided on the 11th not to forward the case for prosecution, citing insufficient evidence to prove Yoo’s guilt.
Earlier, on July 15, a complaint was filed with the Yongsan Station by a person identified as A (30), alleging that they were sexually assaulted by Yoo while sleeping at an officetel in Yongsan-gu. Following the complaint, the police conducted an investigation with the accuser and later summoned Yoo for questioning as the accused last month.
Both A and Yoo tested negative in drug tests.
With the case concluded by not forwarding it for prosecution, the police have no plans to reopen the investigation.

Yoo, who was also charged with habitual drug use, including propofol, was sentenced to prison in early October and taken into custody.
