Member Of Popular Kpop Group Reveals Her Former Agency CEO Forced Her To Appear On Popular Variety Show
Apink’s Oh Ha Young revealed the behind-the-scenes story of appearing on Law of the Jungle.
Recently, Apink members Oh Ha Young and Park Chorong appeared on the YouTube channel Shuming’s Ramen Shop.
Apink recently moved to a new agency. Park Chorong shared, “As soon as we moved companies, they welcomed us so warmly and took care of everything thoroughly, so I’m very satisfied with my company life.”
As a 3rd-generation idol group, Apink appeared on nostalgic programs such as Law of the Jungle, Sponge, Strong Heart, 1000 Song Challenge, and Vitamin. When Xiumin asked in surprise, “Did both of you go on Law of the Jungle?” Park Chorong answered, “I volunteered to go. I really wanted to go. The hardest part was not being able to wash. Not being able to shower or use the bathroom properly was tough, and even sleeping was hard because the ground was uncomfortable. I went to Fiji, so it was a nice place, which made it a bit less difficult.”
However, Oh Ha Young, who went to Papua New Guinea, confessed, “I cried all the time. It was a women’s special. Of course, because it was a women’s special, there were fun parts too, and the older sisters treated me very well since I was the youngest, but it was hard to adapt at first. It rained a lot, and I got blisters on my legs, so I was in bad shape. Those things were tough, but when I watched the broadcast later, it was fun.”
Xiumin then asked, “Did you volunteer to go? No, you were dragged, right?” To this, Oh Ha Young replied honestly, “Not me. At the time, the former CEO said, ‘If you don’t go on this, I’ll cancel all your schedules,’ so I had no choice but to go. That person isn’t with us anymore.” Hearing this, Park Chorong was shocked and said, “Really?” as if it was her first time hearing about it.
