Comedian Lee Jin ho, who collapsed from acute cerebral hemorrhage and has been receiving hospital treatment, is now undergoing outpatient care.

On August 9, according to his agency SM C&C and others, Lee Jin ho was discharged at the end of May after receiving treatment and rehabilitation at a major university hospital in Seoul. He is currently resting at home while attending regular hospital visits. Some paralysis symptoms remain, causing difficulty with speech and movement, but he has recovered to a level where simple conversation and mobility are possible.

Lee Jin ho collapsed suddenly from cerebral hemorrhage at his home on April 1 while facing legal proceedings. A fellow entertainer he was speaking with at the time detected something amiss and called emergency services. After intensive care treatment and regaining consciousness, he was moved to a general ward where he continued rehabilitation therapy.

As Lee Jin ho regains his health, he faces upcoming court proceedings. He is scheduled to appear in person on August 14 at Suwon District Court’s Yeoju Branch for his first hearing on charges of illegal gambling and road traffic law violation (drunk driving).

The prosecution indicted Lee Jin ho on May 29 on a non-detained basis. He faces charges of driving approximately 100 kilometers from Incheon to Yangpyeong in a severely intoxicated state in September of last year. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at 0.11%, the level requiring license revocation. He is also facing charges of illegal online gambling through repeat use of unauthorized gambling websites.

Debuting as an SBS comedy recruitment talent in 2005, Lee Jin ho actively appeared on “Woong’s Father,” “Comedy Big League,” and “Ask the Oppa,” among others. However, after confessing to illegal gambling in 2024, he halted all broadcast activities.
