Two Female Cast Members Of Popular Korean Variety Show Announce Their Departure, Whats Next For “Hangout With Yoo”?
“Hangout With Yoo” is undergoing some big changes!
Recently, the production team behind the MBC variety show “Hangout With Yoo” confirmed that cast members Park Jin Joo and Lee Mi Joo will be stepping down. They shared, “After discussions with the production team earlier this year, Park Jin Joo and Lee Mi Joo will be leaving the show after filming their final episode on May 22. Their final appearance will be broadcast on May 31, where they’ll say their final goodbye to viewers.”
Lee Mi Joo first joined the show in August 2021, followed by Park Jin Joo in September 2022. The two brought vibrant energy and enthusiasm to the show, becoming beloved members of the cast. Park Jin Joo impressed with her strong vocal skills and unexpected variety sense, while Lee Mi Joo, as the youngest, charmed viewers with her candid, bubbly personality.
The production team added, “After careful consideration of their future activities, we’ve mutually agreed to part ways and will continue to cheer them on. We sincerely thank Park Jin Joo and Lee Mi Joo for all the joy and light they brought to ‘Hangout With Yoo.’”
Going forward, “Hangout With Yoo” will continue with a four-member lineup: Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Joo Woo Jae, and Lee Yi Kyung. The new team plans to carry the show forward by building on their unique personalities and solid teamwork.
“Hangout With Yoo” airs every Saturday at 6:30 p.m. KST on MBC.
