Popular Actress And Broadcaster Halts All Activities Due To Thyroid Condition, To Receive Treatment

Broadcaster and actress Ji Ye Eun is receiving treatment for a thyroid condition.

According to an official, Ji Ye Eun noticed health issues while actively working and went to the hospital, where it was discovered that her thyroid function was underactive, leading her to temporarily halt activities.

Earlier, her agency stated, “Starting in September, Ji Ye Eun will focus on recovering her health. We will do our best to support her so she can regain her health through sufficient rest.”

The thyroid is a vital organ that secretes hormones necessary for metabolism, requiring careful management. However, because early symptoms are minimal, it is often difficult to detect problems in advance. Ji Ye Eun reportedly first visited the hospital due to persistent fatigue and declining condition.

The official added, “Ji Ye Eun has largely recovered through adequate rest and medication. While a specific timeline is not yet confirmed, she plans to resume activities after focusing on treatment.”

Yoo Jae Seok also mentioned on ‘Running Man,’ “Ye Eun is undergoing treatment. Although it’s been widely called burnout, it’s unrelated. She’s resting due to a health check that showed treatment was needed.”

Her agency, CP Entertainment, commented, “We ask for understanding as it is difficult to verify due to personal medical information.”

Ji Ye Eun first gained public attention through ‘SNL’ and has appeared on SBS’s popular variety show ‘Running Man,’ Coupang Play’s ‘Office Workers,’ and ‘Daehwanjang Kianjang,’ establishing herself as a rising variety star.
