Famous Comedian Couple Kim Ji Min and Kim Joon Ho Announce They’re Expecting

Comedian Kim Ji Min is pregnant.

On July 30, Kim Ji Min announced the news on social media, writing, “In 2025, we became forever two, and in 2026, we became the three we always dreamed of.”

She continued, “A precious little life has come to my small belly. I leaned on my husband, who kept telling me not to push myself too hard or rush, as we began our first round of IVF. Thankfully, as if it had been waiting for this very moment, Duroopi (the baby’s pre-birth nickname) came to us on the very first try.”

Kim Ji Min added, “Thanks to our doctors, who spent about two months first focusing on getting my body healthy, I was able to take time to care for myself for the first time. I was scolded quite a bit for having neglected my own health for so long.” She said, “During that time, I suddenly thought, ‘Oh, that’s right — I must have been a precious child that my own mother wanted and wished for so desperately, too,’ and it made me feel both grateful and reflective, and I think I tried even harder because of it.”

She went on, “So many people have been asking me about it, and even though I’m usually not great at keeping things to myself, I managed to keep this secret all this time — that’s all thanks to Duroopi. Now that we’ve passed the stable period and I can finally talk about it, I think I’ll finally be able to sleep soundly tonight,” and expressed her joy, adding, “Now, with the two of us, our pets Neukkim and Nari, and Duroopi too, I feel like I have the whole world.”

Kim Ji Min and Kim Joon Ho tied the knot in July of last year, and had previously received a lot of support after revealing they were undergoing IVF treatment in hopes of having a child. Kim Joon Ho also expressed his wish for a child back in June, saying on the variety show To the End! Solo Tour, “I hope Ji Min stays healthy always, and I really hope the news of a baby comes true.”
