Actress Lee Elijah revealed that she had a direct meeting with Bang Si Hyuk in the past.

On a recent broadcast of MBC’s “Omniscient Interfering View” (“The Manager”), Lee Elijah appeared.

That day, Lee Elijah, who took on the challenge of becoming a trot singer, explained why she joined a trot competition program. She said, “I studied classical vocal music since the third grade of elementary school. I continued music in high school but gave it up due to vocal cord nodules. Later, I decided to challenge myself again. Above all, my mother was a big fan of ‘Miss Trot.’ Since she liked songs from that era, I thought, why not try ‘Miss Trot 4’?”

When asked if she had received casting offers in the past, she replied, “I don’t usually talk about this, but I received a lot of street casting offers in high school. Quite a lot,” and confessed, “I even had direct meetings with SM and with then-Big Hit’s CEO Bang Si Hyuk. My parents told me to go to college first, but once I stepped away, it wasn’t easy to go back.”

Jun Hyun Moo shared,“We were on a show together before, and she suddenly started popping,” to which Lee Elijah responded, “I also did ballet and dance for about 2–3 years when I was young. I’m still learning now.” She eventually showcased her popping skills in the studio and even danced along with Jun Hyun Moo to a BTS track.

Later, singer Young Ji, a former member of Bubble Sisters and Lee Elijah’s vocal trainer, appeared. She said, “(Lee Elijah) has been working without an agency for 7 months. During the competition, I always saw her running around. It was heartbreaking to see an actress I liked working so hard like that, so I asked her about it. She drives herself, goes to the salon alone, and even films projects by herself.”

She continued, “During the competition, I couldn’t approach her because everything had to be fair for all contestants, but after it ended, I asked for her number first. I told her I would act as her assistant until she finds a good company. She’s under temporary care.”

Regarding why she hasn’t joined an agency, Lee Elijah said, “I wondered whether it’s right to get used to being taken care of by someone. As I started doing things on my own one by one, I found a sense of achievement in taking the lead,” revealing that she currently has no manager or stylist.
