On the same day, Lee Jin Ho confessed to illegal gambling through his social media account. He revealed, “In 2020, I started playing on an illegal online gambling site by chance and ended up with a debt I could not handle.”
Regarding why he decided to confess, Lee Jin Ho explained, “Whenever I received calls from unknown numbers, my heart would race, thinking it might be related to my debt, and I lived in fear of when this would become public. Each day felt like I was being punished. I couldn’t make a clear decision because I thought working was the only way I could gradually repay the debt, but that mindset was likely my own selfishness.”
Meanwhile, due to the controversy, Lee Jin Ho did not attend the press conference for the Netflix variety show Comedy Revenge on the morning of the 14th.
