“Culinary Class Wars 2” Chef Personally Reveals He’s Been Caught Drunk Driving 3 Times In The Past, Issues Apology
Chef Lim Seong Geun (58), who appeared on “Culinary Class Wars 2” has come under controversy after revealing his past of being caught drunk driving three times.
On the 18th of January, Lim Seong Geun suddenly confessed his past of being caught drunk driving three times through his YouTube channel, shocking the public. As Lim Seong Geun recently rose to prominence as a trending chef through the Netflix OTT series “Culinary Class Wars 2” , the public was thrown into an uproar.
He said, “I did not want to hide from myself. I thought it was right to apologize to my subscribers,” and “I am sorry for causing unnecessary concern.”
He continued, “Receiving tremendous love all of a sudden became a burden, and amid a busy schedule and a difficult life, I came to rely on alcohol,” adding, “I ask for your generous forgiveness. I will live cautiously so that this does not become an issue again in the future.”
In relation to this, his appearance on a home shopping channel has been brought into question with the program releasing a statement. One media outlet reported that his appearance on this program was a live broadcast, but Shopping N T clarified that it was a recorded broadcast.
On the 19th, Shopping N T stated, “Shopping N T is a recorded broadcast home shopping (T-commerce) channel. Today’s broadcast, the afternoon broadcast, and tomorrow’s broadcast are portions that were pre-recorded and are being aired.”
They continued, “Additionally, for home shopping, a broadcast agreement contract must be written up at least three days in advance. Arbitrarily canceling the schedule falls under prohibited acts reviewed by the Fair Trade Commission and the Korea Communications Commission.” They added, “The relevant company used Lim Seong Geun as a model, and the partner company is a small and medium-sized enterprise. If the already scheduled programming is canceled, the partner company would suffer the full damage, and we ask that this point be included in the article.”
They further stated, “Lastly, we clearly explain that this recorded broadcast was filmed before his appearance on ‘You Quiz on the Block’.”
