Popular Actor Addresses Rumors Of Feud With One Of The Biggest Korean Producers, Producer Na Young Seok
Actor Son Ho Jun has clarified the unexpected rumors of a feud with producer Na Young Seok, who helped shape his well-loved “variety show persona.”
Recently, Son Ho Jun appeared on broadcaster Ji Suk Jin’s YouTube channel “Jipyeonhan World,” where the two discussed various topics.
During their conversation, Ji Suk Jin brought up the rumor of discord that arose after Son Ho Jun stepped down from tvN’s variety show “Three Meals a Day.”
In response, Son Ho Jun said, “That’s absolutely not true. Na Young Seok PD actually contacted me first and asked, ‘What do you think about this?’ I told him, ‘I think it’ll be really fun with just the two hyungs (older brothers).’”
He continued, “Because ‘Three Meals a Day’ had so many fans, I think some people felt disappointed. My hyungs even called me to say, ‘We’re sorry that such articles came out,’ even though it wasn’t their fault.”
Son Ho Jun also mentioned that he later addressed the matter on Na Young Seok’s live broadcast, explaining, “It wasn’t that I joined the live stream to clarify anything. At the time, I was performing in the play ‘Angels in America,’ and Na PD kindly said, ‘Come on, I’ll help promote it for you.’ While promoting, the topic just naturally came up.”
He went on to share that Na Young Seok still supports him wholeheartedly: “When I was doing the play ‘Killing Caesar,’ Na PD was really busy but still came to watch it, took photos, and even posted about it on social media.”
Son Ho Jun previously appeared in Na Young Seok’s “Three Meals a Day” — including the Fishing Village seasons 1, 2, and 5, as well as the Gochang edition — but did not appear in last year’s 10th-anniversary special “Three Meals a Day: Light,” which had sparked curiosity among fans.
