“The Price Of Confession” Ending Explained

Netflix has released its newest Kdrama “The Price of Confession.” Let us recap its 12^th and final episode and explain its ending!

The episode starts with Choi Su Yeon looking back at artist Lee Ki Dae’s memorial. She recalls months before it when they were first introduced along with her husband. He judged a piece donated by the couple and said the artist plagiarized his apprentice’s piece and is spending time in court.

In the bathroom, he explains to the lawyer that the director who brought him to evaluate donation pieces keeps doing it despite him being against attending. He had to do that so he’d stop asking, he basically admits he’s lying and did it so the director won’t ask for him again, he bows his head and leaves.

The couple pesters Ki Dae repeatedly over his false remarks and keep demanding an apology; they keep harassing him until his death, saying he should apologize.

At that location, both Prosecutor Baek and lawyer Jang piece together everything along with phone evidence. While Yun Seo and Mo Eun are in the car, Mo Eun reveals she knew the lawyer is the killer and the one who sent her threatening messages. Mo Eum also reveals Se Hun’s friend had the entire recording and video evidence of who killed Se Hun and gave it to her.

When Prosecutor Baek and lawyer Jang visit Se Hun’s grandpa, he mentions the lawyer and says he even saw his wife once. They get a call from MO Eum with the video and try to convince the women to not act alone but they refuse.

The two women go back to the studio and find Lawyer Jin there trying to find his wife’s print so he could erase it. HE keeps saying he killed her husband but she knows the truth. They get into a fight and Mo Eum interferes and pressures him to let Yun Seo go. Eventually, through an altercation, Mo Eum gets stabbed slightly in the neck but sees that Yun Seo is about to hurt the lawyer so she stabs herself through him as police arrives and then turns around and stabs him, he dies. Mo Eum also collapses on the floor and dies.

Several months later

at her trial, the people are shown a stage footage of Yun Seo killing Se Hun, then, he continues talking trash to his friends about the staging but unbeknownst to him, the lawyer came and killed him and there is the footage of the real murder. The court finds her not guilty on charges of murdering her husband but other charges, they give her a suspended sentence instead.

Se Hun’s grandpa is in jail because of what happened, Prosecutor Baek also says he was horrible towards Yun Seo and will correct his actions.

He interviews Lawyer Jin’s wife and she says her husband killed Ki Dae but the prosecutor knows she’s lying, he tells her she’ll have a difficult time proving otherwise. We get a flashback of her killing Ki Dae and her husband trying to cover up her crime.

Some time later

Yun Seo and her daughter visit Thailand and leave Mo Eum’s watch in a beautiful place for her. We get a flashback of Mo Eum witnessing the wedding of Yun Seo and her husband and being invited to join in.
