Agency Denies Song Da Eun Is Signed To Them After The Actress Publishes Video Alluding To A Relationship With BTS Jimin
A rep from an agency that was rumored to have signed Song Da Eun has responded to various rumors arising from her recent video!
On the 27th of August, a Merry-Go-Round Company representative told Sports Seoul, “The reports about Song Da Eun and our exclusive contract are not true.”
They continued, “The reports published this morning regarding an exclusive contract between our company and Song Da Eun are completely false. Song Da Eun has not signed any exclusive contract.”
Earlier that morning, one media outlet reported that Song Da Eun had signed an exclusive contract with Merry-Go-Round Company. Merry-Go-Round Company is a content production and management company that includes actors So Ju Yeon, Hong Woo Jin, and others.
Song Da Eun is an actress who debuted in 2011 with the MBC drama “Can’t Live Without You.” She gained recognition after appearing on Channel A’s dating variety show “Heart Signal 2,” which aired in 2018.
Song Da Eun developed into a real-life couple with Jung Jae Ho, who also appeared in “Heart Signal 2,” as they chose each other in the final selection. However, they ended up breaking up just five months after the program ended. Song Da Eun has since continued her career as an actress, appearing in dramas such as “Once Again,” “Men Are Men,” and “The Golden Spoon.”
On the 27th of August, she sparked controversy by posting a video on her TikTok account that showed her meeting Jimin at home. The video showed Song Da Eun waiting for him in front of the elevator door, and Jimin, surprised to see her, saying, “Oh my gosh! Did you know I was coming in? I purposely didn’t say anything and came.”
The place where Song Da Eun prepared the surprise for Jimin is presumed to be Nine One Hannam, located in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where Jimin currently resides. This is because the apartment name engraved on the elevator was visible behind Jimin.
Regarding this, Jimin’s agency BigHit Music has not made any statement. However, since Song Da Eun has been plagued by dating rumors with Jimin for as long as three years since 2022 and has been the target of malicious commenters calling it a “self-made dating rumor,” some argue that the video was a kind of response to such malicious comments.
