Amid controversy surrounding BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s older brother, her scheduled airport departure press coverage has been canceled.

On the 21st of April, fashion marketing company Dimaco told Star News, “The press coverage of Jisoo’s airport departure scheduled for today has been canceled due to unavoidable internal circumstances.”

Jisoo was originally scheduled to depart for Paris, France via Incheon International Airport that morning and was expected to meet with press photographers. The coverage had been announced after Dimaco requested media photo coverage for promotional purposes.

However, the airport press coverage was ultimately canceled. This decision is believed to be related to the recent controversy involving her older brother.

Recently, reports surfaced that the older brother (A) of a famous girl group member had been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a female BJ (broadcast jockey), sparking widespread attention. Speculation quickly spread online claiming that the person in question was Jisoo’s brother.

In response, on the 20th of April, Kim & Chang Law Office attorney Eun Hyun Ho, who represents Jisoo’s agency Blissoo, stated: “The matter currently being raised is completely unrelated to the artist (Jisoo) and Blissoo, and much of the content circulating online is unverified speculation or clearly false information.”

He further explained, “The artist began her trainee life at a young age and became independent early, spending a long period living apart from her family, and therefore is in a situation where she could neither be aware of nor involved in that individual’s private life.”
