BTS RM Issues Apology Over Remarks During Recent Livestream Amid Ongoing Rumors Surrounding The Members

BTS’s RM has issued an apology to fans over his recent remarks during a recent livestream.

Recently, BTS RM talked to fans in a live stream, and his comments about various topics surrounding BTS gained massive attention among fans and many split reactions. In the livestream, he commented about the group not releasing anything in the 2nd half of 2025, he said, “Many people ask, ‘Why did you just waste the second half of 2025?’ ‘Why didn’t you do anything?’ I also wanted to do various activities after being discharged, but there were circumstances I can’t talk about. I don’t even have the right to explain them, so I can’t reveal everything.”

He also brought up the topic of disbandment again, stating, “I’ve thought tens of thousands of times, ‘Would it be better to disband the team or stop activities?’ But the reason we continue the team is the love between the members and the respect for the fans.”

His comments about disbandment triggered a lot of reactions among fans; some were split on whether he should’ve brought up disbandment again or not. The livestream also coincided with the recent dating rumors involving Jungkook and Winter, which have taken the internet by storm. Neither Big Hit nor SM have issued a public statement about the alleged relationship which angered fans further.

RM gained attention for saying this about the members, “If something happens, I’m not the one who can explain it. This job doesn’t allow me to reveal all the behind-the-scenes details. I can’t represent our team either. I’m just one person. In the past, I stepped forward for the team, but now every member is an individual with their own personality and tendencies. What I should do for the members doesn’t apply anymore.”

On December 8, RM took to Weverse to write an apology, he said,

I think I made many ARMYs tired with the live two days ago, and I’m sorry.
I received a lot of messages from people worrying..
I regret turning it on, but my frustrated feelings came first.
I’m sorry ㅠ
Please look at me a little prettily.
I will live by just making music, practicing choreography together diligently, thinking about new content, sleeping well, and doing those things.
I will take the driving test soon, and yesterday I put on the practice-driving sticker and went through all four courses.
It’s scary (I didn’t get into an accident).
And yesterday I watched the movie “The Color of Pomegranates,” and my home interior is all finished, so I will go back home soon after half a year.
I will introduce it later after decorating everything.
I took out the mold to make a snow duck, but everything melted.
It’s so cold, so dress warmly, and don’t catch a cold.
