Netizens Discover EXID’s Hani Confirmed Her Marriage Few Days After A Woman Died In Her Fiance’s Hospital + Agency Responds
EXID member and actress Hani‘s agency has refrained from commenting on the death of a patient at a psychiatric hospital run by her boyfriend, psychiatrist and broadcaster Yang Jae Woong.
The backlash against the idol-actress and her fiance has intensified the past couple of days.
According to the Bucheon Wonmi Police Station, a woman in her 30s, identified as A, died on May 27 at around 3:30 a.m. at a hospital in Bucheon, 17 days after being admitted. A’s cause of death was presumed to be a pseudo-intestinal obstruction, and she had been admitted to the hospital for treatment of diet pill addiction containing narcotics.
Due to the timeline of events, netizens soon discovered that Hani had confirmed her marriage news a couple of days after the incident happened. Netizens reacted strongly to the news that the couple had announced a joyous event shortly after the death. The woman had died on May 27, but Hani and Yang Jae Woong had announced their wedding plans on May 31st, mere couple of days after the woman’s untimely death.
On the 30th of July, Sublime, Hani’s agency, told Sports Chosun, “We are unable to confirm Hani’s position on this matter.”
After this news, Hani’s social media received negative comments about her upcoming marriage to Yang Jae Woong. Fans urged her to reconsider the marriage given the circumstances of the incident.
The couple is set to marry in September.
