A New EXO Subunit Is Reportedly Getting Formed, Here’s Everything We Know
EXO‘s Kai and Sehun are reportedly forming a new EXO subunit.
According to an exclusive report by Newsen on November 2, the two will officially debut as a unit in December. Soompi reports that SM Entertainment confirmed the news, saying, “Kai and Sehun will release their first mini album this December as a new unit of EXO. We ask for your continued interest and anticipation.”
The two are both born in 1994 and are nicknamed the “94z” by fans. Their strengths are handsome visuals, outstanding physiques, and powerful performances.
Their chemistry has been proven. Last year, Sehun made a surprise guest appearance at Kai’s solo concert and performed a joint stage. In January, he appeared on “Jeongwating,” a spin-off of the web variety show “Jeongwaja (Changing Majors),” which Kai hosts, showing off bickering chemistry. They are also set to appear as travel partners on ENA TEO’s variety show “World Dice Tour 4.”
After the unit launches, they plan to communicate with fans through music, stages, and various variety shows and content.
EXO released its 8th full-length album “REVERXE” in January for its 14th debut anniversary. It made EXO a million-seller for the 8th time, topped domestic and overseas charts, and earned a music show grand slam with five wins. EXO then held a world tour of 27 shows in 14 regions, starting with three days of concerts at the KSPO DOME on April 10 to 12.
