G-Dragon’s Agency Issues 2nd Statement To Explain The Sudden Unexpected Postponement Of Concert In Bangkok

BIGBANG member and solo artist G-Dragon’s outdoor concert in Thailand has been canceled, and the agency has issued a new statement to inform fans its been postponed, not canceled and to explain why.

On July 11, his agency Galaxy Corporation announced, “We regret to inform you that the ‘Übermensch’ world tour concert originally scheduled for August 2 has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.”

They explained, “The decision was made due to the rare and record-breaking heatwave, which has led to ongoing cases of heatstroke. Given that the concert was to be held at the outdoor Rajamangala National Stadium, the choice to postpone was made out of concern for fans’ health and safety.”

The agency continued, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and we ask for your understanding that this decision was made with fan safety as the top priority. We will announce a new venue and rescheduled date as soon as possible, taking into consideration the heat and rainy season to ensure safety.” They added that since ticketing had not yet begun, no refund procedures are necessary.

Lastly, Galaxy Corporation said, “The artist and agency are doing everything possible to deliver a performance that lives up to your expectations. We’re working hard to make it a special memory for everyone.”

The original notice was first announced on July 10 through G-Dragon’s official Fanplus One website.

G-Dragon began his “Übermensch” world tour in March in Korea. He will be performing for three days in Taiwan starting July 11, followed by stops in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the United States, France, and more.
