Famous Korean Singer Who Disappeared After Recent Controversy Announces New Song And New Label
Singer Jessi has launched her own independent label and is making her first move with the release of a new song titled “Newsflash.”
On the 27th of June, Jessi unveiled her new digital single “Newsflash” through her official account.
“Newsflash” is a hip-hop track that captures Jessi’s return to the stage after about a year-long hiatus, using the concept of a “breaking news alert” as its theme. The song delivers a raw yet confident message, fully embodying Jessi’s signature energy and personal story. In the video, many fans believe she shaded both the press and rapper Koala over her recent controversy.
With this comeback, Jessi has also established her own independent label, UNNI COMPANY, and is set to pursue her music career on her own terms.
Jessi had been involved in an incident involving one of her entourage assaulting a teenage fan. The singer has been interrogated and released as the investigation is still ongoing. Jessi also issued an apology and followed that with a 2nd apology later. Later, police cleared her of any wrongdoing in the situation.
Jessi parted ways with PSY’s label P Nation in July 2022. She then signed with Jay Park’s label MORE VISION, but the contract was unexpectedly terminated on January 31 of 2024. After spending time without an agency, Jessi has now launched her own label and is set to return to active promotions, drawing much attention.
