A Beloved Korean Singer Also Revealed To Have Voted On Controversial Poll Ranking Girl Group Members, He Apologises

Kim Minseok, a member of the male duo MeloMance and a musical actor, has apologized for participating in a controversial vote regarding girl group members’ body types.

On February 3, Kim Minseok addressed the controversy. During an interview for the musical Werther at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul, he responded to questions about the issue, saying, “I realized I had pressed it by mistake and immediately canceled it. I apologize for any concerns caused.“

His agency, Abyss Company, released a similar statement.

Previously, the controversy arose from a vote conducted on an account that intentionally slowed down girl group performance videos to emphasize their body exposure. Both Kim Sung Cheol and Kim Minseok were revealed to have participated in the vote, leading to public backlash.

Kim Sung Cheol has also issued an apology via his agency.
