Police Reveals WINNER’s Song Mino Largely Admitted To Leaving Post During Military Service
During a police briefing, they revealed that WINNER member Song Mino has largely admitted to allegations of inadequate military service.
Previously, in December of last year, allegations were raised that Song Mino, while serving as a social service agent, had not only left his post but had also manipulated his attendance records by occasionally showing up merely to sign in and then disappearing to smoke.
During a press conference held on the morning of the 31st of March at a government office in Seoul, a police official stated, “Song Minho was summoned for investigation three times, and searches and communication inquiries were conducted. He has largely admitted to leaving his post during service hours.” The official added, “The determination of whether there is any wrongdoing will be based on the collected evidence.”
At the time when the allegations first broke out, his agency YG Entertainment denied the allegations, stating, “It is difficult to verify the detailed aspects of artist service. However, the reason for his leave was simply an extension of treatment he was receiving before his service, and all other leaves were taken in accordance with regulations.”
Meanwhile, Song Minho served as a social service agent from March 2023 until December 23, 2024, and he is currently discharged from service.
