Former BIGBANG Member Seungri Reportedly Becoming A Father In January, Media Report Shocks Netizens
Former BIGBANG member Seungri (36, real name Lee Seung Hyun) is reportedly set to become a father in January next year.
According to a Grey News report on October 26, Seungri is expecting a child in January next year with his girlfriend in her 20s, who is not a celebrity. The outlet also stated, “The baby’s gender is a boy.”
The two have reportedly set up their newlywed home in Gangnam, Seoul, and plan to hold their wedding after the birth.
Seungri debuted with BIGBANG in 2006 and gained huge popularity, but in 2019 he was named as a key figure in the “Burning Sun Gate” scandal, leaving the group and being expelled from the entertainment industry. He was indicted on 9 charges, including prostitution, soliciting prostitution, violation of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, and habitual gambling. In May 2022, the Supreme Court finalized his sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison, which he served, and he was released in February 2023.
In addition, in August this year, Seungri was sued on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated intimidation, and aggravated confinement. He was accused of assaulting a man in his 30s, referred to as Mr. A, while the two were drinking together at a restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul. Seungri is denying the charges.
