Legendary Kpop Idol Announces Marriage to Single Mom, And They’re Expecting a Baby Together

Shinhwa member Lee Minwoo is getting married and becoming the father of two children at the same time. His fiancée, who is currently pregnant, is reportedly a single mother raising a six-year-old daughter.

Lee Minwoo’s soon-to-be bride, who was recently revealed following his wedding announcement, is known to be a third-generation Korean-Japanese woman raising her daughter on her own. Lee Minwoo will introduce his fiancée and share the wedding journey through the KBS2 variety show Mr. House Husband Season 2.

On August 6, the Mr. House Husband team stated, “Shortly after announcing his marriage to his beloved fiancée, Lee Minwoo has shared even more joyous news. His fiancée, a third-generation Korean-Japanese, became pregnant during their relationship, and they are now celebrating both a wedding and the upcoming birth of a child. Please send warm congratulations and support during this double celebration.”

They continued, “Although she is currently pregnant, she is also a single mother raising a 6-year-old daughter. Lee Minwoo has embraced both his fiancée and her daughter as one family. Please look forward to seeing what kind of responsible husband and father of two he will become.”

Lee Minwoo first announced his marriage in a handwritten letter on July 25. He wrote, “After going through various personal challenges recently, I spent a lot of time with my family and reflected on the meaning of those moments. I had always vaguely dreamed of starting a family of my own, someone I could lean on and support. I’ve known this precious person for a long time, and after confirming our feelings for each other, we’ve decided to become a family.”

Lee Minwoo debuted in 1998 as a member of Shinhwa and has produced numerous hits including “Eusha! Eusha!”, “Perfect Man”, “Brand New”, and “Wild Eyes.”
