THE BOYZ’s Members Personally Issue Statement Regarding Ongoing Contract Dispute With Agency
Nine members of THE BOYZ (Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric) have abruptly declared the termination of their exclusive contracts with their agency One Hundred Label and have begun independent activities.
Attorney Kim Moon Hee of the law firm Yulchon, the legal representative of the artists, stated in an official position on the 19th of March, “Due to the agency’s serious breach of contract and the breakdown of trust, we notified the termination of the exclusive contract on February 10, 2026.”

The artists cited“lack of transparency in settlements” and “abandonment of management duties” as the decisive reasons for terminating the contract. Attorney Kim claimed,“The agency has not paid settlement earnings for all activities since July 2025, and even refused requests to review basic settlement data without justifiable reason.” She also added regarding reports of receiving advance payments worth hundreds of billions of won, “There has been no explanation or clarification provided to the artists.”
There were also revelations about the deteriorating working conditions. The artists emphasized that the agency not only failed to support essential costs for activities but also delayed payments to on-site staff for several months, effectively neglecting its management responsibilities. The artists stated that despite continuing activities silently to keep their promises to fans amid such uncertainty, they ultimately reached the devastating conclusion that the trust relationship could no longer be maintained.
However, they promised responsible actions to minimize harm to third parties. The artists plan to faithfully carry out already scheduled commitments, including the April concert promised to fans. Meanwhile, member New decided to remain with the agency after sufficient discussion with the members. The remaining nine members added that they will respect each other’s choices and positions while seeking various ways forward for the team and fans.
THE BOYZ signed a three-year exclusive contract with One Hundred Label in December 2024, but due to various suspicions and conflicts surrounding CEO Cha Ga Won, they have ended up going their separate ways after just 1 year and 3 months.

On behalf of THE BOYZ members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric (hereinafter referred to as the “artists”), we would like to convey the official position regarding the termination of their exclusive contracts and future activities.
The artists notified One Hundred Label (hereinafter referred to as the “agency”) of the termination of their exclusive contracts on February 10, 2026, due to the agency’s serious violation of the contract and the irreparable breakdown of trust. Accordingly, the exclusive contracts have been lawfully terminated and are no longer valid.
The agency has not properly paid settlement earnings to the artists for all activities since July 2025, following the payment for the second quarter of 2025. In addition, despite multiple requests from the artists to review basic data such as contracts to verify settlement transparency, the agency refused without justifiable reason, thereby neglecting its fundamental and essential obligations as a management company under the exclusive contract.
Furthermore, recent media reports revealed circumstances in which the agency received advance payments worth hundreds of billions of won based on the artists’ entertainment activities. Nevertheless, the agency has not provided any responsible explanation or convincing clarification regarding the current situation in which settlement payments have not been made to the artists.
Throughout this process, the artists continued their activities quietly for a long time amid ongoing uncertainty in order to keep their promises to fans. However, the agency not only failed to properly support essential costs for the artists’ activities but also delayed payments to staff who dedicate themselves on-site for several months, effectively abandoning normal management duties.
The psychological pain and pressure that the artists had to endure in an environment where even basic support was cut off are beyond words. Ultimately, they reached the judgment that this situation could no longer be tolerated or continued, and with the devastating conclusion that the mutual trust relationship had irreparably broken down, they made the difficult and heavy decision to terminate the exclusive contracts.
Nevertheless, the artists agreed that this situation should not cause harm to fans, partner companies, or other third parties acting in good faith. Accordingly, they have made the difficult decision to proceed with the April concert and promise to faithfully carry out all previously confirmed schedules with responsibility. In order to repay the love sent by fans, they will do their best both in team activities and in their respective positions.
Meanwhile, member New expressed his personal intention to maintain his exclusive contract after sufficient discussion with the members. The artists respect each member’s individual choice and position, and THE BOYZ will seek various ways forward and cooperate where necessary to find the best direction for the team and fans.
