The Dispatch report accusing WINNER Song Mino of poor social service duty performance has ultimately led to an official investigation by the Military Manpower Administration.
The Military Manpower Administration stated on the 17th of December that they are identifying the facts regarding Song Mino’s attendance record manipulation and work attendance controversy. This measure comes after the media outlet Dispatch reported on Song Mino’s poor performance suspicions, causing the controversy to grow.
According to Dispatch’s report, Song Mino did not properly return to his duties after traveling to Hawaii, USA, at the end of October.
Song Mino was initially serving at the Mapo Facilities Management Corporation but transferred to Mapo Residents’ Convenience Facilities in March of this year at the request of his supervisor, A. However, suspicions surrounding Song Mino’s work attendance emerged after his transfer. Regarding this, Supervisor A explained, “He was absent due to annual leave, sick leave, and hospitalization,” but specific attendance records were not disclosed, citing “personal information protection.”
Song Mino’s agency, YG Entertainment, told My Daily, “It is difficult to confirm details related to the artist’s service. However, the sick leave was an extension of treatment he had been receiving before his service, and all other leave, including vacation, was used in accordance with regulations.” Despite this statement, public opinion remains unsettled.
