Famous EXO Member Claims He’s Unable To Promote On KBS’s Music Show Because Of SM’s Interference
EXO’s Xiumin’s agency has claimed that SM’s unfair practices have led to the singer not being able to appear on KBS’s music show!
On the 4th of March, Xiumin’s agency, One Hundred issued a statement alleging that due to SM’s interference, they have not been able to carry out smooth talks with KBS to perform on their music show in tangent with Xiumin’s pending comeback.
Xiumin is set to release his solo album “Interview X” on the 10th of March. Xiumin left SM Entertainment and decided to carry out individual activities and CBX promotions under One Hundred, while continuing EXO group activities under SM Entertainment.
One Hundred’s Official Statement accusing SM of sabotaging Xiumin’s appearance on KBS below!
Hello, this is One Hundred.
We would like to share an important matter regarding our label artist’s appearance on KBS.
Xiumin, under INB100, is set to release his solo album Interview X on March 10, marking his first solo release in two years and six months.
As it has been a long time since his last solo album, our team has made numerous attempts to arrange meetings with broadcasting stations to ensure Xiumin can showcase great performances for his fans. However, KBS has remained completely unresponsive to our efforts.
Recently, KBS has unofficially stated that it is impossible for Xiumin to appear on KBS2’s Music Bank or other programs featuring SM Entertainment artists.
Although we found this stance difficult to accept, we continued to reach out to KBS, urging them to prioritize artists and fans. However, our efforts were completely disregarded.
We believe that a public broadcaster has blocked our artist’s access not due to music or any other valid reason, but because of its relationship with a particular agency.
If this unfair situation persists, our artists will be unable to appear on music shows during the weeks when SM Entertainment artists are promoting.
We strongly believe that KBS, as a public broadcaster, should not make decisions solely based on the interests of a single company. We have done everything in our power to resolve this matter, and it is deeply regrettable that we must share such unfortunate news with fans.
Xiumin, along with other artists, is now facing difficulties in appearing on Music Bank due to KBS’s stance. We will continue to fight for fairness and work to prevent other artists from suffering due to such unfair practices.
Although Xiumin’s appearance on KBS is currently impossible, we will not give up for the sake of our artist and fans. We are also exploring other options to provide great performances and create special memories, and we promise to see you soon through other means.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for disappointing our artists and fans. We will continue to fight against unfair practices and strive to be a company that truly supports its artists.
Did this surprise you?

The SM is going too far… They can’t stand fair play competition?!? Then maybe they should have made sure that their former artists were happy with the agency and didn’t sign on to other entertainment!
