Kpop Band Member And Father Of 3 Exposed By Ex-Wife For Allegedly Visiting Adult Entertainment Establishments During Their Marriage

Former LABOUM member Yulhee has revealed the real reason for her divorce from her ex-husband, FT Island’s Choi Minhwan.

On the 24^th of October, Yulhee shared her side of the story through her personal channel “Yulhee’s House.” The video has since gone viral and shocked netizens.

Following her appearance on TV Chosun’s I Am Alone on the 22nd, Yulhee addressed the hate comments she received, saying, “I wondered why so many people were speaking harshly to me, so I tried to see myself from a third-person perspective. There were times I felt upset and depressed, and I often thought, ‘Should I just tell the whole story?’ Divorce was a decision I made for myself, and everything else was for the kids. We decided everything through conversations, and it ended with an amicable divorce. I didn’t see the need to bring up who was at fault.”

In I Am Alone, Yulhee revealed that she was divorced by Choi Minhwan and gave up custody of their three children solely for their well-being, shedding tears during the broadcast.

However, after the show, a YouTuber claimed that Yulhee had insisted on sending her kids to an elite kindergarten, ballet classes, and English academies that were three hours round trip, spending about 8 million won ($6,020 USD) monthly on education. The YouTuber further alleged that Yulhee had a nocturnal lifestyle, causing Choi Minhwan and his family to handle the children’s drop-offs and pick-ups. The YouTuber also stated that Yulhee ran away for four or five days before an FT Island concert, leading to their divorce announcement, and that there was no child support or division of assets. These claims fueled public criticism against Yulhee.

In response, Yulhee clarified, “The English kindergarten was mutually agreed upon, and it was a place my child attended happily. It wasn’t far at all; who would send their child 1.5 hours away? It was exhausting for me too. I believe in the principle that a mother should be comfortable for the children to be happy. As for the education expenses, it was not something I forced. My ex-husband and I agreed that we could both handle the costs.”

Yulhee then revealed that Choi Minhwan frequented entertainment establishments and even sexually harassed her in front of his parents.

She explained, “About a year before the divorce, there was a major incident. After that, our marriage changed completely. I could handle the struggles of raising children and living in a large family, but after that incident, I didn’t want to stay at home or face the family. Before I found out about the incident at the establishment, we were drinking with the family. My mother-in-law was washing dishes, and I was sitting with my ex-husband. Out of nowhere, he folded a bill in half and tucked it into the collar of my blouse. It was a habit of his. Later, even with my father- and mother-in-law present, he grabbed my chest and groped me. At the time, I thought it was just his way of showing affection because he was drunk.”

Yulhee continued, “After that incident, when divorce discussions came up, I was determined to take the children and leave. The amount Minhwan offered was 50 million won ($36,000) with 2 million won ($1,400) in child support. That was like telling me and the kids to starve. The reason I gave up custody was that I wanted the children to stay in the large family environment they enjoyed, and I wanted to ensure Minhwan could continue his career. It was a decision made for the kids.”

Yulhee also shared an audio recording, which allegedly features Choi Minhwan’s involvement in visiting entertainment establishments.

In the recording, Minhwan is said to have visited a club on July 9, 2022, at 5 a.m. When a friend suggested, “Spend your vacation with your wife and kids,” he replied, “Don’t say weird things. I’m with them every day. I’m not going home,” while searching for places to go out.

On August 10, 2022, during a heavy rainstorm, Minhwan allegedly said, “I snuck out. Make a reservation for me. I’m alone right now, but someone will probably join me. Please make sure we’re taken care of.” When a friend commented that the kids likely didn’t come out because of the rain, Minhwan responded, “Gangnam is crazy. Have fun, bro. Are there no places open? If not, there’s nowhere else to go.” On August 14, he allegedly said, “Are you at the store? I need to be home by 7 a.m. If I want to party for two hours, I’ll have to wait one or two. Can you bring two toothbrushes and some drinks?”

The audio also allegedly captured a conversation from November 6, 2022, in which Minhwan was making plans to visit a hotel or motel.
