Yulhee Removes All Traces Of Choi Minhwan From Her YouTube Channel
Yulhee, who declared an all-out war against her ex-husband Choi Minhwan, has erased all traces of their past together as a couple from her YouTube channel. Despite the fact that the memories of Choi Minhwan remained a year after their divorce announcement, they have now been deleted from her channel.
On the 15th of November, Yulhee’s channel, “Yulhee’s House,” removed all traces of Choi Minhwan. Given that Yulhee had previously kept records of their past despite revealing Choi’s frequenting of establishments, this recent decision has drawn significant attention. Even the video that exposes the recordings of Choi Minhwan’s private life controversy has been deleted.
Previously, Yulhee had shared through her channel the reasons behind their divorce, including conflicts during their marriage, allegations of soliciting prostitution, and her decision to forgo child custody and alimony. She explained that while she initially wanted to take the children, she left due to practical concerns.
On November 4, Yulhee submitted a request to the Seoul Family Court for custody modification and claims for alimony and property division. This move has led to speculation that Yulhee has made a firm decision to let go of the past without lingering regrets or nostalgia.
In a recent video, Yulhee said, “I didn’t abandon my children, but I worried they might think that. I wondered if I had been too narrow-minded when I could have let it go. I thought about whether I should have accepted it if I wanted to live as their mother. I don’t regret choosing divorce.”
She also stated, “I’ve never lived shamefully as a mother, and I won’t in the future. I didn’t want to be a mother who couldn’t face her children with pride. It’s not that I didn’t consider the children. As their mom, I want to face them confidently.”
Divorce specialist attorney Yang Soyeong, who is handling the case, shared on a personal broadcast, “After reviewing the details, it seems there were discussions during the divorce about Yulhee eventually taking custody of the children rather than Choi Minhwan retaining it long-term. There seems to be a strong chance of success,” she said confidently.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Choi Minhwan earned a profit of 2.5 billion won (approximately $1.6 million) from selling a single-family home he owned. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s real estate transaction system, Choi’s house in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, was sold for about 3.8 billion won (approximately $2.5 million).
Choi Minhwan had purchased the property in 2015 for 1.25 billion won (approximately $815,000). He rebuilt it as a two-story multi-family home and lived there with his parents and sibling’s family. The house was often featured on shows like KBS 2TV’s The Return of Superman and Men Who Do Housework.
Yulhee previously revealed through her channel that during their divorce, Choi Minhwan proposed alimony of 50 million won (approximately $33,000) and child support of 2 million won (approximately $1,300) per month. This revelation, coupled with news of Choi’s significant real estate profits, reignited public outrage. At the time, Yulhee said she relinquished alimony to secure the future of the children.
