Kim Soo Hyun’s Agency Refutes Garo Sero’s Past Couple Photo With Kim Sae Ron Released Last Night, Suggest They’d Like To Meet The Mother
Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s side has released an additional statement regarding the ongoing disclosure of past photos related to the late Kim Sae Ron. They also expressed their desire to meet with Kim Sae Ron’s mother.
On the 15th of March, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, issued a follow-up statement, saying, “We are sharing our stance on the content reported by the YouTube channel ‘Garo Sero Research Institute’ (hereinafter ‘Garo Sero’) on March 14. The photo released by ‘Garo Sero’ was taken on December 14, 2019.”
The agency further stated, “There is no justification for indiscriminately releasing photos that contain the private lives of Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron. We ask that the dissemination of personal information be stopped.”
They continued, “We have also taken note of Kim Sae Ron’s mother’s statement in the broadcast. We believe that no words can truly console a mother who has lost her daughter. We deeply regret and feel sorrow for the pain the late Kim Sae Ron had to endure.”
Regarding Kim Sae Ron’s mother’s concerns about media coverage, the agency expressed sympathy, acknowledging that Kim Soo Hyun has also suffered from Garo Sero’s reports. However, they noted, “There seem to be differences between our perspective and some of the claims made by Kim Sae Ron’s mother. Additionally, there may be aspects that she is not yet aware of. Publicly debating these matters is not appropriate, especially considering the mother’s efforts to restore her daughter’s honor. Instead, our management team would like to meet with her in person to provide a full explanation. We would appreciate it if she could contact Gold Medalist’s office at any time.”
Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron’s family has been asserting through Garo Sero since March 10 that she was in a romantic relationship with Kim Soo Hyun for six years, starting in 2016 when she was 15. As evidence, they presented a handwritten letter allegedly sent by Kim Soo Hyun during his military service and a photo of him kissing Kim Sae Ron’s cheek.

On March 14, Gold Medalist released a lengthy official statement denying the allegations. The agency stated that Kim Soo Hyun only dated Kim Sae Ron from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after she had become an adult. They also refuted claims that he neglected her financial difficulties, asserting that he had repaid her multi-million won debts on her behalf.
Following this, Kim Sae Ron’s mother appeared on Garo Sero the same day, arguing that Gold Medalist had portrayed her daughter as a reckless girl who lied. She stated, “My daughter was not someone who only enjoyed nightlife with friends, nor did she manipulate photos to create dating rumors. I hope her honor will be restored.”
