“I Didn’t Know He Was A Korean Celebrity,” Photographer Apologizes For Posting Taecyeon Photos With His Girlfriend

The company that leaked Taecyeon’s photos with his girlfriend has issued an apology.

On February 6, the foreign company that took Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend’s photos posted on social media, explaining, “We didn’t know Ok Taecyeon was a Korean celebrity. The photos were uploaded along with other couples’ snapshots, with no intention of leaking them.”

They continued, “There was no request not to disclose the photos. We were shocked by the situation and have apologized to Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend. We sincerely apologize.”

On February 5, a photo of Ok Taecyeon seemingly proposing to his girlfriend in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris circulated online. In the photo, Ok Taecyeon is kneeling in front of his girlfriend and offering her a ring.

The photo was originally posted by a French photographer on their social media. The initial uploader who discovered the photos claimed, “The photo was posted in April last year. Has Ok Taecyeon already gotten married?”

In response, Ok Taecyeon’s agency, 51K, told DongA.com, “The marriage rumor is groundless. The photo was taken a long time ago to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday. We were caught off guard by the sudden leak.”

Ok Taecyeon confirmed his relationship with a non-celebrity in 2020, and the couple has been dating for five years.

Meanwhile, Ok Taecyeon’s recent film Le Grand Maison Paris, which premiered in Japan on December 30, has already attracted over 2.16 million viewers, becoming a local box office hit. He is also set to hold a fan meeting in Seoul on February 15-16 and another in Japan on March 8.
