“Crushology 101” Ending Explained- Did Bani And Jae-Yeol Get Back Together?

“Crushology 101” has concluded its run as it aired its last episode earlier today, let us recap the 12^th and final episode and explain the ending!

Bani is on a semi-date with Hyun-O when Jae Yeol interrupts them and grabs her hands. Hyun O grabs hers, but she ends up going with Jae Yeol to listen to what he has to say.

Jae Yeol fumbles big time as he’s trying to apologize going on and on about how he could have let her go better in the past and how he now understands what she’s been through, she says she’s fine with them being friends misunderstanding him and leaves with Hyun O.

Later, while in a restaurant, Hyun O reveals she was also his first love and asks if she’s interested in him. She doesn’t give him an answer.

Due to what happened between them just now, Jae Yeol drinks away his troubles and wakes up hugging Ji Won. The two feel awkward and ask each other to take care of their own hangovers. As they arrive at the uni, Jae Yeol discovers he left his hard drive in a taxi and the outsourced work for the commercial was on it and he’s now panicking.

Bani tries to ignore it because she has a meeting with Hyun O but ends up going to Jae Yeol to help him out. The two end up going to the countryside following the taxi driver. Jae Yeol gets soaked by an ahjumma on accident and changes his clothes. As they wait for the taxi driver and find out he might not show up, Jae Yeol is giving up. But he then talks to Bani again and explains he thinks she misunderstood him. He misses her dearly and before she could answer, we find out the taxi driver went back from his trip and gives them the hard drive, and even drives back to Seoul.

The next day Bani meets with Hyun O who can tell she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend, thus, they remain friends only. Bani says she believe it might’ve been Jae Yeol her first love and this slightly hurts Hyun O.

While in the library, Bani reads an interview with Jae Yeol who tells a magazine that he’s waiting for his girlfriend who went overseas to study. She then calls him as he calls her and the two meet outside the library and hug each other. The couple kiss and get back together.

The next day they tell their mates and find out that Bo Bae and her lover fought but they make up eventually. The two kiss in front of her parents’ house as he takes her home at night. The parents, especially the dad, teases him at first but are both happy they’re back together.

As Jae Yeol goes back home, he sees his mother had been there, he texts her that they should have a meal together. The next day they do and she’s happy he’s buying her a meal with his debut project’s money. He even tells her to answer her boyfriend’s calls and says he felt he wasn’t priority and the mother also apologizes for not seeing this.

Ji Won is meeting with Ji-Young who explains she’ll go to the U.S. alone this time, she realized just how much he sacrificed for her and tells him she’ll be fine.

The next day, Bani and Jae Yeol see beautiful rings but Jae Yeol says they’ll buy them another time. At night, both Bani’s parents come to Jae Yeol’s house while the mother is there and they have an awkward first meeting but then get along just fine.

Kot-Nim is sitting at a bus stop and sees Ji Won and complains she thinks there is something wrong with her because she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Ji Won says she’s an amazing woman and one day a man will realize that.

In that same night, Jae Yeol presents Bani with the rings she liked and both put on their couple rings he wanted to purchase with his money.

As Ji Won gets hired as an intern at the company he wants, his guy friends ask him to go on a group date but Kot-Nim says no and interrupts making an excuse, it looks like something is happening between them.

The last scene of “Crushology 101” shows Bani and Jae Yeol taking a stroll with the cherry blossom as Bani says it was her dreams to see it with someone she loves, the two share a sweet kiss.
