“Take Charge of My Heart” Ending Explained- Does Bo Bae Lose Her Powers?

The finale of “Take Charge of My Heart” is out on October 9, so let’s talk about the 10^th and last episode and how it all wrapped up!

“Take Charge of My Heart” episode 10 recap

Ho Rang finds Bo Bae and tells her that he cannot live without her. She disagrees and tells him that it’s not fine and that she could end up killing him. He says he doesn’t care anymore. However, even just looking at him makes her feel bad, so she wants to stop and asks him not to follow her anymore.

She goes back to where her family lives, away from Seoul. The family brings out the various notebooks and writings about her condition. She suspects that she hasn’t been able to use her powers for the past 45 hours. The family remarks that she has never gone this long without her powers, bringing out various examples from the past.

Ho Rang does not care that Bo Bae is back with her family and follows her there. She tells him to run away and hide, but he eventually gets caught by her family and comes inside. They find out that the two had been living together and are obviously shocked.

The family is not very welcoming of him at first, and he even lies about what he does, saying he’s in the lodging business. He’s asked to package grapes to help with the family business and to not go anywhere near Bo Bae’s room.

He then talks to her from behind her closed door. He tells her that even if he could end up in danger because of her powers, he does not care and he wants to be by her side. With tears in his eyes, he says he will find a way somehow.

Her mother then talks to her privately and says they overheard their entire conversation. She is crying as well. She tells Bo Bae that she must have been very lonely with no one to open up to because of her powers, and that they had no way of knowing how she exactly felt. They are happy for her and she should go for it.

Do Yoon and Seol Hee hold a meeting after Do Yoon temporarily became the managing director for TS Group. In private, Do Yoon tells Seol Hee that he is the one running the show at the group now, saying his grandma doesn’t care for Ho Rang anymore. He’s the official heir right now and she should consider marrying him like she said she would.

Ho Rang’s assistant comes down from Seoul and asks him to come back because things are very murky, and because a deal with a company they are trying to sign a contract with is about to fall through. Ho Rang says he doesn’t care and that he will never go back. The assistant fails to convince him.

Separately, Do Yoon and his mom meet up with Seol Hee. She immediately shuts down their attempts at arranging a marriage, saying they’re getting ahead of themselves, and exits the meeting.

At night, while they’re packaging grapes and shipping them to customers, Bo Bae’s father says that you should not leave people hanging. It turns out that they have found out about Ho Rang’s position and are telling him to go back to his company. Bo Bae then comes to him and tells him that they should both go back to Seoul together.

Back in Seoul

After the two return home, they hold a small birthday celebration for Bo Bae. She says there are a lot of things she still wants to do after her initial bucket list is over, and that she will do them with him.

Bo Bae does not gain back her powers and she no longer electrocutes other people. She goes on a date with Ho Rang and they share many happy moments, with her not hurting anyone around her and being able to go about her day as normal. They have a happy, normal, average date and have so much fun together.

As they’re returning from their date at night, Seol Hee comes to his home and tells him that the meeting with the company they want to sign with is about to be ruined without him.

Ho Rang tells her that he still remembers her as the middle school kid who jumped in front of his car. She thought of him as her savior back then, but she still feels like a kid to him, one who is still hanging by a thread. He tells her to think about how she can truly protect herself, from plan A to plan Z, and to be persistent.

The couple kiss happily and recall all of the moments they developed feelings for each other throughout the drama.

Do Yoon’s downfall

Do Yoon and Seol Hee are planning their wedding and even hold wedding dress try-ons. Seol Hee snaps and tells him that he still acts like a loser. Do Yoon, who had been drinking during the argument, tries to attack her and she is barely able to escape from his clutches.

He ends up leaving and driving his car while he’s drunk. He recalls all of the times he tried to get the attention of his grandma and failed because Ho Rang was always so sick. He talks to his mom on the phone, rambling on and on about how he’s just a person who’s been badly hurt by this situation and by the way they treated him, before he crashes into some barricades and gets arrested by the police.

He gets charged with assaulting a police officer and with drunk driving as well. TS Group ends up cleaning up after him, which means both he and his mother are now out of the picture and no longer qualify as heirs.

Ho Rang takes Bo Bae to see his parents up at the temple and they meet the grandma. The grandma is a bit hesitant about her but ends up slightly warming to her. Bo Bae advises the grandma to tell Ho Rang that she truly cares for him instead of bottling it up.

A while later

A while later, Bo Bae makes her debut and even invites her actor friend to guest star in the series. Her other friend has become a director, and Bo Bae is on her way to finishing her first ever drama as a writer. Ho Rang is happily by her side at the shooting location to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Back at home, the two prepare snacks and watch her new drama together, where her name is written on it. The happy couple kiss, hold hands and hug each other as they watch the drama.
