The president of the Cultural Heritage Administration Lee who has kidnapped Hong-Do tells his men to burn this place down as he steals a lot of money and artifacts and runs away.

Yoon-Bok arrives ready to take down the men and he does a good job defeating them. But one of them sets the house on fire and he rushes to save Hong-Do. He apologizes to her repeatedly for what happened and he’d put her through it, she keeps saying its okay but he can see she’s hurt.

Police catch up to Lee who runs off but is confronted by Yoon-Bok, he then reveals he’s the one who set the house on fire in the village and killed his father while trying to steal a precious artifact. Yoon-Bok is seething with anger and as he’s about to lose it and hit him, Hong-Do comes and hits him hard. He’s then arrested for a sheet of crimes he’s committed.

Since he got taken away, Yoon-Bok says he’s ashamed to Hong-Do and apologizes again. He holds back wanting to tell her how much he loves her and they split up.

Yoon-Bok tells his grandpa about what happened and the grandpa is obviously distressed and upset, he’s riddled with guilt as he recalls the difficulties he put Hye-Won through. He goes to her resting place and apologizes to her. There, he runs into her daughter, Yi-Bok and tells her he’ll wait for her to come back to the village and he’s sorry for what happened.

As Hong-Do is returning home from work thinking about Yoon Bok and how they’ve separated, she sees her dad. She tells him she’s not embarrassed by him and wishes they’d remain a family and he stays with them. The three of them, including the son, cry in each other’s arms and reunite.

Grandpa Shin meets with Camille and expresses his love for her saying how he’s always longed for her and how he plans on openly expressing his affection moving forward.

On another day, Yoon Bok asks to see Hong-Do. He talks about how she brought meaning to his life and how he’s discovered what he wants to be thanks to her, he holds back saying he loves her and wishes her the best as she prepares to leave for Paris.

He sheds tears unable to say he truly loves her. They part ways and break up.

Hong-Do then leaves to Paris, alone.

1 year later

Yoon Bok runs his village with Yi-Bok this time and things are going well, they’re even opening it up to allow people to observe art.

Hong-Do is now a successful designer and is busy running her brand, she even mentions the village in an editorial while in Paris.

Hong-Hak wins web artist of the year award but he has no one to celebrate with until Yoon-A shows up, he tells her he wants to work with her and now can even pay her. the two share drinks.

Joon-Ho’s mother continues to visit him, he seems much more happy and at peace. He even tells Mr. Kim to look after his mother. Mr. Kim expresses his love for the mother and takes her out on a date and says he wants to grow their love together.

As its now time to pass on the village for a new head, surprisingly, Yi-Bok is chosen.

Yoon Bok leaves to Paris and surprises Hong-Do who is sitting in a café working, he presents her a flower and asks if he’s not too late. She hugs him.
