“Gangnam B-Side” episode 8 recap
The episode begins with the escorts, including Yeseo getting dragged by Choi Hak-Gu’s men. They get escorted into a room and experiments will take place.
Choi Hak-Gu alongside many prominent figures in the political sector are gathered including Chief prosecutor Tak Joo-Il.
K had trapped Gil-Ho but as they unload the cars, they find out he disappeared, another fight breaks out.
Seo-Jin gives the politicians a contract to go over and sign as they watch the experiments.
Choi Hak-Gu reveals he’s releasing Leon and Leon Plus on the market next month, they have the doses to get people addicted and also the antidote. They begin administrating on one of the girls, who shows a very bad reaction. She then dies. Choi Hak-Gu says every body will react differently so, this shouldn’t cause alarm.
The politicians are not happy saying this should be under control. Meanwhile, Gil-Ho successfully beats up the men in the garage and calls Dong-Woo to tell him where his daughter is. He rushes to the location and is met with Choi Hak-Gu’s men.
Dong-Woo enters the building and sends a video to the politicians catching them in the act partying with girls and doing drugs. They’re pissed and confront Choi Hak-Gu. This especially includes Tak Joo-Il who doesn’t mince words.
As they move to test the last girl, who is Yeseo, Seo-Jin suggests they pause and read the contracts. When they do, Tak Joo-Il loses it and is not happy with the division, he gets heated and confronts him, telling him to fix the video issue, divide the contract 50-50 between them or else. As he is about to leave, Choi Hak-Gu has one of his men shoot him in the head. He dies.
The rest of the politicians are now clamoring to sign the papers and quickly leave.
In the midst of all of this, Gil Ho protects Dong-Woo and makes sure men don’t follow him by activating a fire protecting wall. He now has to deal with K. Dong-Woo runs with all his power to the place to get his daughter.
K stabs Gil-Ho repeatedly and also cuts his Achilles tendon, he gets stabbed a lot. But as he stabs him near his heart, he takes his knife and stabs him in the eyes, then kicks him as he falls to his death.
Somehow, Gil-Ho is still alive.
At the room Yeseo is told to come in and is serving Choi Hak-Gu drinks, she says her name is Jenny, but he knows who she is. As Dong-Woo comes inside, Choi Hak-Gu threatens to inject his daughter with the drug to make her an addict. He does so and escapes.
Dong-Woo and Seo-Jin rush to her side and administrate the antidote hoping she won’t die or become an addict. It works, and she vomits, she’s fine. Dong-Woo takes his gun and rushes after Hak-Gu.
As Hak-Gu escapes with the drugs, his car is blocked, they run into a van and Dong Woo takes him out of the van beating him badly. He then points his gun at him, Hak-Gu knows he won’t shoot and asks him to cuff him, after an intense confrontation, he doesn’t…. but then, Gil Ho comes, who is still alive somehow, and shoots him in the head killing him instantly.
Gil Ho recalls Jae-Hee dreams and how they were crushed by him. He slowly leaves since he’s badly injured.
Meanwhile, Yeseo and the prosecutor are also there, Dong Woo hugs his daughter.
A while later
Yeseo and Dong Woo visit Jae Hee’s grave and find out someone has been there and left roses. Its Gil Ho, who is still alive.
Police launched a massive investigation against the politicians who were involved in this drug issue and its massive news. Seo-Jin gets interviewed and reveals she worked as a whistle-blower to bring them down, she says she should also be held accountable for her actions.
At night, Dong Woo leaves with is partner as they took a call from a club, some man came in with a bat and beat them badly, he then set fire to the drugs in the place. Dong Woo rushes outside and catches a glimpse of him, its Gil Ho, he’s still alive.
The last scene of the drama shows Dong Woo driving back in his car with a stern look on his face.

Yes, it does. The head of the drugs operations gets killed by Gil Ho, Yeseo gets saved and the politicians who contributed to this are prosecuted.
