“Idol I” Episode 12 Recap
Se-Na rushes home to watch La-ik and his bandmates give an interview, the band is starting a world tour and are happy to be back together.
At night, Se-Na talks to Chung-Jae who says he’s moving out and has printed out his own business cards and is preparing to launch his own investigative office. They both thank each other for being for each other’s sides.
The next day, Se-Na talks to her mentor the CEO who gives her files related to her father’s case hoping it’d help her. She attempts to thank him saying she came to his company because of what he’d done for her but he beats her to saying the things. They both laugh if off.
Se-Na is taking a break to focus on proving her father’s innocence and even thanks other lawyers in the company. She also thanks Ye-Sol and explains to her she’s a fan of Gold Boys. Ye-Sol says she’s known for some time. Se-Na is horrified she couldn’t hide it better.
At his office, prosecutor Kwak Byung-Gyun wrapped up Hong Hye-Joo’s case with a conviction. During the last appeal trial, she didn’t say a word and the sentencing was finalized. She was sent to a psych facility because of her mental state instead of prison.
He then watches Se-Na argues that the courts should re-open her father’s case. Prosecutor Kwak talks to detective Yoo after the trial and learns he’s leaving to a regional office to be closer to his mother. The prosecutor also apologizes to the detective for his actions, he accepts the apology.
The re-trial is granted and Se-Na gets interviewed outside the courts. Then La-ik shows up with flowers. The couple end up visiting her parents’ resting place. La-ik promises to care for her and make her happy. He reveals because of her encouraging words he was able to go back on stage.
The two couple walk to her place and end up spending the night together after kissing.
The next morning, La-ik gives her special tickets to his concert but she rejects it and plans on getting it the official way. He goes to his aunt place to make her kimbap and ends up visiting Chung-Jae’s office. The two are awkward but Chung-Jae ends up apologizing for lying to him about Se-Na’s feelings towards him.
The band members then visit Kang Woo-Seong’s grave on his death anniversary and see their former CEO there. La-ik talks to him and thanks him for giving them the trademark to their band name back. La-ik thanks him but the CEO says he should thank him mom, he discovered him because of her.
La-ik ends up enlisting Chung-Jae’s help to deliver a ticket to her.
On the concert day, Se-Na is ready to go. There, she finally meets Like, her online mutual only to find out that it was her assistant. The two are slightly awkward but happily attend the concert watching the band perform.
Se-Na cries at the concert recalling how its now a reality they helped shape together.
